- Toothpick (or similar tool) to apply adhesive
- Small flathead screwdriver (for bottom screw type urn only)
- A clean, flat area to work on
Step-by-Step Instructions
Start by identifying the type of piece you have by the opening. Then follow the matching steps below.
1) Threaded Bale / Top Screw Opening
- Unscrew the top opening carefully.
- Insert the funnel and add a small amount of ashes or keepsake material.
- Fill slightly below the thread line (do not overfill).
- Use a toothpick to apply a small amount of glue to the threads.
- Screw the cap back on until snug (do not overtighten).
2) Bottom Screw Plug Opening
- Use a small flathead screwdriver to remove the bottom plug.
- Insert the funnel and add a small amount of ashes or keepsake material.
- Wipe the threads clean so the plug seats properly.
- Apply a small amount of glue to the plug threads.
- Reinsert and tighten until snug (do not overtighten).
Important Tips
- Don't overfill: Fill slightly below the top of the threads to ensure a proper seal.
- Check the threads: Make sure threads are clear and the cap closes properly before applying glue.
- Use glue sparingly: A small amount on the threads is all you need.
- Mind the bale direction: If your jewelry has a bale, ensure it faces sideways so it hangs correctly.
- Wait 24 hours: Allow the glue to fully dry before wearing your piece.
What Can I Put Inside?
- Cremated ashes (human or pet)
- Fur or hair
- Dried flowers
- Sand or soil from a meaningful place
- Any other small keepsake that fits
