Bronze Spotted Towhee Bird Foot Pendant - Unique Nature-Inspired Jewelry

This stunning bronze pendant is a beautiful tribute to nature's resilience. Crafted from the preserved foot of a spotted towhee, this piece captures the delicate yet striking details of the bird's claw. The unfortunate donor of this bird foot, a spotted towhee, flew into the freshly cleaned window of my studio a few years ago. Rather than let its demise become a total loss, I salvaged at least a small part of its being to be immortalized in bronze.

The 1-1/2" claw has been meticulously cast to maintain the intricate texture of the scaly skin. Once dried, a fine bail was set into the leg, and a mold was made to create bronze copies. The toes are adjustable and will hold their position, showcasing the robust craftsmanship. The bronze is polished and oxidized, enhancing the details and providing a striking contrast that highlights the natural beauty of the piece.
